The client should provide a system to install the applications
necessary to perform data collection “VirtualAssess DataCollector
Manager” and data analysis and scenario modeling “VirtualAssess
DataProcessing Manager”.
System requirements:
- Windows XP running on a machine with at least 1.5 GHz CPU speed, 1
GB RAM, 2 GB free disk space
- Microsoft Excel 2000 or higher
- .NET Framework v2.0, MDAC 2.8 and OWC11 will be installed by the
application installation package
Network requirement:
- The system should also have rights to access all servers in
scope
- VPN access, Remote Desktop access
- or Webex PCnow remote solution (good internet connection)
Client's resource requirements during service consolidation
& virtualization assessment:
- Information Collection phase – 2-3 hours
- Data Collection – 2-3 hours
- Data Analyze – not needed
- Server Consolidation Scenario Modeling – 3-4 hours
- Deliverables – 1-2 hours
